Nuke It!

Most of us like our microwaves — many of us do not remember life as it existed before they appeared on the scene. But how many of us really use the micro for cooking? I hardly do.

It is great for heating up a cup-a-something and making popcorn, but it quickly turns bread into an inedible knot and succulent meat into shoe leather.

With that in mind, here is a recipe that makes your microwave a knight in shining armor. It is perfect for the warm months, is one of America's favorite foods, and is supremely easy.

Corn on the Cob

  1. Take your ear(s) of corn in the husk and place in the microwave.
  2. Nuke at 100% power — three minutes for each ear.
  3. Cool until able to handle.
  4. Shuck, season as desired and eat.
  5. Bon appétit!
